America in the late 90s, late in the blackmetal race, but leaders in the dark-deathmetal race ...on with the list: INCANTATION, NILE, USURPER, VITAL REMAINS and the revamped almighty Kings Of The Covenant: MORBID ANGEL. And from Kansas City, the infernal hellion of ANGELCORPSE adds more corpses to this cryptic carnage.

Instant blasphemous death, as the Holy One gets crushed with a "Christhammer". Pure hate and maliciousness explodes with grind on "Into The Storm Of Steel" and the destructive "Reap The Whirlwind".

The beating continues on "Wartorn" and the über pummeling of "That Which Lies Upon" ...behold a full 39mins of Catholic catatonia. The mid 90s answer to Seven Churches ...welcome to Hell, again.

Following their 1996 debut Hammer Of Gods CD, this is a dark-death execution with blackmetal theme patterns. Signed to French label Osmose Productions, leader in the mid 90s black-attack, the none so vile ANGELCORPSE is the perfect hybrid for bridging the gap between both deathmetal and blackmetal scenes. This hyper hateful panzer shall desecrate again on 1999's The Inexorable CD.

Top-tier assault.

After World War Three ...1998's Exterminate CD, ANGELCORPSE would decimate the few helpless survivors into oblivion. America's Christhammer pummels the Scandinavian scene.

War-death power ignites a geomagnetic-reversal on "Stormgods Unbound" and the fear-smelling of "Wolflust". Downtuned and divine, "Reaver" and "As Predator To Prey" ravage with atomic-clock precision.

Hell no longer awaits, as it surrounds us, as portrayed on "The Fall Of The Idols Of Flesh" and the homage of SARCOFAGO's limited digipak-only reprise of "Desecration Of Virgin".

Pushing pure evil-deathmetal into inhuman conditions, ANGELCORPSE's short lifespan left a glare of hope during these new times of extremes. The band soon disbanded, leaving an inexorable blackdeath legacy, only to return for a brief moment with 2007's Of Lucifer And Lightning CD.
