September 23, 1991 - 2026: 35 years of: Condemned.

Going against the grain.

Years after CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's arise, Raleigh provides more acid tones. Eventual gospel for American doomrock, the scene must now face it's divine CONFESSOR.

Hard grooving to serious rock, they stand "Alone". Mosh and melodies clashes into a turmoil of monolithic stature. Down-picking into oblivion, the band propose a "Collapse Into Despair" and the riff-raff of "Uncontrolled". Heavy duty machinery hits hard on the title-track for "Condemned", as well as the thrashy doom of "Eve Of Salvation", where Scott Jeffreys's high-pitched vocals shines bright under the midnight sun.

Total skunk works project, CONFESSOR's duty rocks against any current trends. Mixing elements of PENTAGRAM and TROUBLE, with hints of MERCYFUL FATE, they dwell in a grave of their own. This audacity would made them one of the early bands of the upcoming mid 90s stonerrock / stonermetal movement.

Also somewhat of a mismatch from Earache Records: 1992's Gods Of Grind Euro-trek saw the band touring with extreme deathmetal oddities ENTOMBED and CARCASS. On the flip-side, CATHEDRAL's presence was CONFESSOR's perfect partner for this type of rock-venture.

It would take many Moons for CONFESSOR to get back on tape, as a 13 year long hiatus would silence them, until 2005's Unraveled CD.
