EMPEROR
way more Helter Skelter.

July 8, 1997 - 2022: 25 years of: Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk.

Blackend perfection.

After church burnings, hate-murder and prison time ...blackmetal comes to mind as the next extreme. So many Norwegian hell-preachers, so many devil minions ...but there's only one true extreme, there's only one EMPEROR.

The sickened ravage of "Ye Entrancemperium" blasts-off into Mach IV speeds and never releases it's prey. The eerie keyboards sets a mood on "Ensorcelled By Khaos", while more horse-power is displayed on "The Acclamation Of Bonds".

The video-track for "The Loss And Curse Of Reverence" was one of the few visuals available back in this explosive era. Fast and possessing, the cut became a signature-trick and synonymous with the massive extremity of: the Third Wave of Scandinavian Black-Metal ...none shall defy !

Superior musicianship at blazing speed, EMPEROR commanded respect and Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk rapidly gain an immovable stature in the blackmetal take-over of the late 90s. Further explorations and progression shall take a new form, with 1999's IX Equilibrium CD.
