LOVERBOY
1981 - Get Lucky.
way more Helter Skelter.

October 7, 1981 - 2026: 45 years of: Get Lucky.

Turn 'em loose.

Red hot from their 1980's self-titled LP, one band would stand tall in the Calgary prairies. Swamped in a sea of disco and newwave pop, one band would provide actual rocknroll. Capturing the FM airwaves by storm, they are the LOVERBOYs.

Hitting hard on the nail until Friday, we are all "Working For The Weekend". Hot stamina and hot sweat keeps on pouring on "Jump" and the electrified rockabillia of "Emotional". The arenarock-bound "Gangs In The Street" rings aloud, as well as on the giant flexed muscles of "Lucky Ones". Hybrid between poprock and hardrock, the overdrive of "It's Your Life" and air-guitar fest of "When It's Over" grasped the early 80s with a firm hand.

Red leather never looked so good.

RIAA-certified 4x Platinum, those Canadians did shook America to it's core. LOVERBOY rocked with serious hooks and major-league rocknroll. While No is never and answer, the hot blooded band would provide more decadent decibels with 1983's Keep It Up LP.
