One last laugh before the new millennium.

After the Beavis & Butt-Head hard-ons and during King Of The Hill's expansion, creator Mike Judge makes magic, again. Bored people locked into their boring jobs ...and then comes Peter Gibbons.

"I'll tell you what I'd do man ...two chicks at the same time man." - Lawrence Preparing for the eventual Y2K glitch, Initech a run of the mill tech-company re-writes software for the turn of the clock. Dwelling in dread, our lovely trio of programmers fights with their daily corporate struggles, until Peter get illuminated by a gone-wrong therapy-session. Now immune to responsibilities, this new angle on life lets him do what's best: nothing !

Still climbing the hierarchy of the company, he finds out most of the staff shall be immediately let go, including his best buddy, gangsta-rap aficionado: Michael Bolton. Vowing to screw the silver tower bosses over, they ploy a grand scheme that, obviously turns into deep shit ...and then comes Milton. Fuckin' A !

"It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care." - Peter Based on a Judge, pre-Beavis anime, this major-league cinema attraction encapsulates the rush of the Dot-com bubble and the cold streamlined cubicle-work. Poking fun at the current, ass-clown late 90s comfort and overall soulless superflux, Office Space highlights all of the un-glorious white-collar 9-to-5 dysfunctional boringness that most of us lived to tell.

"No way, why should I change, he's the one who sucks !" - Michael Bolton about Michael Bolton Shedding light on micro-management and work disfranchisement, the movie's initial-run didn't set the house on fire. But with later DVD-release and late-night syndications, Office Space hatched itself a hardcore niche cult-audience during the post Napster-era. An audience that eventually thrusted many, many, many internet-memes based on key-scenes from the movie ...namely now pop-culture's favorite boss: Bill Lumbergh and his trademarked: "Yeeeeeeaaah."
