Extreme-metal evilness began with England's 1981 VENOM, to finally commercially explode during Norway's mid 90s blackmetal cornucopia. But from out of all the geographical locations, in a hardrock and thrashmetal dominated 1987, nothing could've envision Hell in Belo Horizonte. An over-the-top BATHORY ...SARCOFAGO is true evil incarnated.

The Immaculate One lays spread on the Altar as the infernal rage of "Satanic Lust" destroys everything above sea-level, right into the appropriately titled "Desecration Of Virgin". Military machine-gun drums blasts at 666bpm, grindcore style, the same year NAPALM DEATH released their Scum debut-LP. Insanity is not enough.

Thrashmetal rises with down-picking riffing on "Nightmare", the growling "Ready To Fuck" and the WW3 of "Deathrash". None shall defy ! The Biblical-call of "I.N.R.I." challenges the Holy One from above with rebel metal-pride, where some aggressive metal and profanity is shouted toward the Heavens: "Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, Jesus Christ !!!"

SARCOFAGO is bold blackend barbaric blackmetal blasphemy.

Fronted by ex-SEPULTURA singer Antichrist AKA Wagner Lamounier, the four bastards shaped blackmetal lyricaly, musically and with it's definite esthetics. The leather and studs are JUDAS PRIEST tricks, but the chains, the spikes, the bullet-belts, inverted-crosses and corpse-paint are the extra rawness needed to push this hate into absolute mayhem.

The troops of doom would return with 1989's speedmetal Rotting LP. In the history-books: SARCOFAGO is the ultimate blackmetal Armageddon.
