SCATTERBRAIN
1990 - Here Comes Trouble.
way more Helter Skelter.

March 27, 1990 - 2025: 35 years of: Here Comes Trouble.

More East-Coast fun 'n games.

The other side of the new decade, where hardrock / metal finally broke free of it's self imposed shackles. Featuring some ex-LUDICHRIST minions, these Long Island fockers shall SCATTERBRAINs ...just don't call 'em dudes !

DIY metal with obvious NYC flair is exposed on the title-track "Here Comes Trouble" and the punk / funk "Mr. Johnson And The Juice Crew". The included Cheech & Chong's "Earache My Eye" should give you an idea of the humor included under the hood.

The slick "Down With The Ship" displays many legendary riffs and somewhat end's up in a listenable mush. Poking fun at the L.A. scene, the cool single for "Don't Call Me Dude" did get strong MTV-rotation, yet not enough to crack any notable Charts or Sales Metrics.

New-metal, funk-metal, alt-metal, this is the alternative to the alternative. SCATTERBRAIN proudly fits with other oddities of the era, from FAITH NO MORE, to LIVING COLOUR, to PRIMUS ...to both mutating DEATH ANGEL and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES.

Now signed to Elektra Records this short new adventure wasn't bound for the mainstream. The band released Autumn 1991's Scamboogery CD ...right during Seattle's take-over.
