way more Helter Skelter.

October 28, 1977 - 2022: 45 years of: Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols.

Rocknroll Anarchy !

No one would dare to touch them. EMI Records in and out, A&M Records in and out ....thank you scene savior Richard Branson and Virgin Records for having the balls to stand with these hoodlums. If (when) nuclear Armageddon strikes, during the aftermath, deep into nuclear-winter, the only band that will still rock out will be the SEX PISTOLS.

The volatile alliance of Johnny Rotten, Paul Cook, Steve Jones, Glenn Matlock and a dangerous Sid Vicious are both beauty and bestial, caring and catastrophic, delightful and destructive, lovable and lethal, incredible and incompatible, enjoyable and endangered ...well you get the idea.

The army walks into position, imminent take-over, target: the globe. "Holidays In The Sun" blasts off and slimes everything in it's path. No time to rest, this onslaught leaves piles of "Bodies" behind. Thrashmetal before thrashmetal was thrashmetal, another "Sub-Mission" for these smelly backstreet kids. Wall to wall decibel destruction, from London to "New-York" ...no prisoners in sight, please dear "God Save The Queen" !

Raw-rock stings with "No Feelings" a sincere heartfelt fuckyou from our lovely "Liar". The mosh-pit gets bloody with the high stamina "Problems" and the stampede of "Pretty Vacant", to quote Alex DeLarge: "Oh bliss, bliss and heaven... Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh...". Last one for the road, raise your glasses for a royal salute to "EMI" ...thanks for the free publicity Gentleman.

Born rebels, genesis of rough attitude, anthem for generations and gospel of punk.
Forget the British Monarchy, this is British Anarchy !

Again with the WW3 thing: if all humanity be suddenly extinct, the only album that would survive, would be Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols. Other new lifeforms would easily tap and thrash to this simple audio mastery. A real musical Trojan-Horse: unadulterated thrash-rock sugar-coated with pop sing-alongs ...the PISTOLS trendsetted their way and left no-one indifferent, especially in 1977's tormented conservative Great Britain.

The 60s had the flowerpower revolution and the late 70s had the punk revolution. In the mere three years that they were "a band", these bollocks managed to change: the face of music, the modus-operandi of the music-industry and the face of pop-culture itself ...not bad for a bunch of low-life punks.

Never mind everything else: here's the SEX PISTOLS !!!

RIP Sid Vicious (1957-1979)
RIP Malcolm McLaren (1946-2010)
