More whitemetal.
Rocking to a very different vibe of the era, TROUBLE provides more earthy hard rock. In line where their 1984's Psalm 9 debut-LP, this second offering continues into the wall of grandiose rebel-rock.
From both midpaced "Pray For The Dead" and the 11min+ "The Wish", to the faster crush of "Fear No Evil", from the darkness of primitive rock ...the light shines bright. An hard edge is reached on "Wickedness Of Man", where the forces of beyond clashes into a doomrock wall-shaker.
Labeled as an antithesis of evil, Metal Blade Records played the Holy-card in marketing TROUBLE as Saints in the loud-rock cathedral. The band would produce more good deeds on 1987's Run To The Light LP.

Chicago's finest.
Coming from the doom-rock 1987 Run To The Light LP, the band's fourth rebellion would finally adopt a post hippie-flair ...here comes TROUBLE.
The 70s-vibed "At The End Of My Daze" and rough riffology of "The Wolf" cements their cult status in stone. More gain crushes, initiating a "Psychotic Reaction", as the appropriately titled "R.I.P." hits the final nails on rocknroll's coffin.
The arenarock-bound "Black Shapes Of Doom" possessed the frame of an anthem while the southern-boogie of "A Sinner's Flame" is another fine welcomed addition. From full folk to acidrock attack, the 7:20sec powerballad for "The Misery Shows (Act II)" is a bona-fide melody-filled melancholic masterpiece.
Rick Rubin produced and Def American Recordings released, TROUBLE were now entering a new era. A new decade, a new epoch that will soon embrace new alternatives from the upcoming stoner / doom scene, placing TROUBLE at the pole position.
Their muddy rocknroll vision shall bloom further with 1992's Manic Frustration CD ...a lost record, sadly swamped in the Seattle tidalwave.
