VICIOUS RUMORS
1991 - Welcome To The Ball.
way more Helter Skelter.

August 25, 1991 - 2026: 35 years of: Welcome To The Ball.
The Bay rips through the Royal Albert Hall.
More serious metal from the highly fertile land of aggression. After 1990's stellar self-titled CD, the San Francisco gang roars top-shelf thrashy powermetal. They are the truth, this ain't no VICIOUS RUMORS.
Menacing with lethal mosh, both "Abandoned" and "You Only Live Twice" sets the bar close to perfection. Heavy like a ton of bricks, the brute power of "Raise Your Hands" rolls down the highway, while the arenarock of "Children" is a fine attempt at the MTV metal-mainstream. Upper-class musicianship shines like a thousand suns with "Six Stepsisters" and the equally metallic mayhem of "Ends Of The Earth".
Proudly dwelling in the zone, between power and thrash, both worlds collide into an illustrious heavymetal fest. Sophisticated, yet somewhat out of phase with the times, VICIOUS RUMORS would dwell in the underground albeit two majorlabel releases. The promotion-department at Atlantic Records stopped returning their calls in Autumn 1991.
The band would present another shade of hate with 1994's Word Of Mouth CD.
RIP Carl Albert (1962-1995)
