The King of QUEEN !

Following the all too soon demise of one of the greatest frontmen in rocknroll-history due to AIDS-complication, friends of his extended rock-family gathered along at Wembley Stadium. The celebration of Freddie Mercury's larger than life aura was shared with 72000+ in-attendance, along a reported audience of 1 billion+ through MTV and other various worldwide-telecasts.

THEY WILL ROCK YOU !

On tour for their respective best selling-CDs, both METALLICA and GUNS N' ROSES made special appearances. More adrenalized-rock from an updated DEF LEPPARD ...and even a 1 song performance from England's loudest band: SPINAL TAP. The young EXTREME's rabid QUEEN-mega-medley, kept the beat in check, preparing the crowd for a very, very long night ahead.

All three surviving QUEEN-members: John Deacon, Roger Taylor and Brian May hosted the night, and were fully featured in the QUEEN + guests marathon. An impressive all-star lineup that featured rotating singers: Elton John, George Michael, Roger Daltrey, David Bowie, Rober Plant and even Seal. Needless to say: the crowd went Ga Ga !

Unlike the We Are The World and Live Aid 80s superflux-projects, this time, the fans were all invited to closely celebrate the life, music and achievements of the one and only: bright and colorful, high-octave singin', show-stoppin', slim-fit fashion frenzy wearin', stone cold crazy King of QUEEN.
